Advan - RS-D Wheel Set

“D” stands for deep rim. ADVAN Racing wheels are known for their full-face design, but now the brand has taken on a new challenge in design. ADVAN designed a wheel to make the outside rim as deep as possible, with the spokes rising and bowing in sweeping curves to assure clearance for brake calipers and insets. However, the new wheel must retain the beauty of function that ADVAN Racing’s spoke wheels are famous for. The new wheels are designed as one-piece models with superior characteristics such as light weight and high rigidity.

ADVAN found it difficult to design a deep one-piece rim in several sizes with a single depth of the rim. So, with RS-D, they designed a standard deep model and an extra deep model for each inch. This required two different types of molds to produce these full-size variations. The rims come in inch sizes between 18 and 20 inches. The extra deep models have rims which are 60mm deep or more. In addition to this deep rim, each wheel is diamond-polished for an incomparable finish (except for the Bright Chrome version).

The technology that gives ADVAN Racing wheels their unfailing quality has been enhanced for even higher quality and finish. With RS-D, we take our high-quality casting to the summit. Immediately after the molten aluminum is poured, the wheel is cooled down rapidly to solidify the aluminum under computer control that includes complete simulation with leading-edge cooling solidifying analysis. The newest molds which have full water jackets to ensure the cooling process perfectly matches our computer simulation and analysis and result in a superior aluminum composition.
The important disk design is of course based on the 10-spoke RS. The design work takes special care with the starting angle of the spokes
so they don’t spoil the sense of rim depth. Also, with standard deep rims, the design assures enough room for large brake calipers and has
spokes which do not protrude beyond the edge of the rim flange, and yet does not spoil the dynamic effect of the overall disk.

The ADVAN RS-D is available in three color versions: Black with Diamond Cut Rim, the classic RS Silver with Diamond Cut Rim, and Bright Chrome versions. All use a special clear coating that adds depth and superior texture to the finished look. The embossed ADVAN Racing trademark and RS-D are on the wheels and except for Bright Chrome the surface of the letters is ground. So, especially with The Black finish, the contrast between the aluminum metal and the color is remarkable. Chrome is not available on 18" wheels.

Wheel sets are shipped for a flat rate fee of $100 in the continental USA. Wheel sets with tires mounted are shipped for $150 in the continental USA. Hawaii, Alaska, APO and international wheel orders must be placed over the phone or email so that we can calculate an accurate shipping price.
